Immigration for Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker

Immigration for Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker

How to Obtain PR through Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker program?

Canada offers a PR program for nannies and home support workers. This is a very useful and comparatively easy program to obtain PR for those with limited language knowledge and no higher education, plus, the age factor here is more likely to be a plus rather than a minus (which cannot be said about other immigration programs).

Be aware, there are quotas for this program, but they are not filled quickly.

To immigrate through this program, you need:

  • To have 12 months of full-time work experience in Canada for a host family (this is a minimum of 30 hours per week)
  • English language test at level 5 across all categories
  • At least 1 year of post-secondary education
  • A permanent job contract from your family (there are requirements for the salary, living with the host family is not necessary)

IMPORTANT: It is possible to apply for PR through this program without Canadian work experience, but spots are taken within a few hours.
