November 12, 2025, round of invitation

On November 12th, there was an invitation to apply for permanent residency through the medical stream with express entry scores of 462 or higher (hmm, quite achievable even without French).

On the one hand, it would seem that no one cares about medical professionals. There are tons of exams, finding work as a doctor or nurse in Canada is almost impossible, and without Canadian experience, scoring 462 points is very difficult!!

BUT! There are three medical professions on the list that don't require a medical degree. They can be hired in Canada with no problems; and this is your chance to get permanent residency.

Please pay attention to the following professions:

- Medical laboratory assistants

- Nursing assistants, elderly care staff, and patient care staff (not to be confused with nursing home work, as the duties are more similar to those of our orderlies)

- Pharmacist assistants in pharmacies (at least some pharmaceutical education in the country of origin is required)

To qualify for the medical stream, you only need at least six months of work experience in a medical field. To receive points for Canadian work experience and associated bonus points, you need at least 12 months of full-time work in Canada (at least 30 hours per week) and be on a Payroll.

I had a laboratory assistant (during COVID-19) and a pharmacist assistant (who worked at London Drugs, Ontario). Both are in the federal approval stage.

I'll remind you again, there are no hopeless situations; you just need to develop the right strategy.
