NOC 74205: Utility Equipment Operators and Related Professions -NOT IN DEMAND IN QUEBEC
This is low-skilled labor.
Employees of this group service and operate equipment that is used in the field of public services and improvement:
- - garbage and snow removal
- - cleaning streets, roads and sewer systems
- - maintenance of urban green spaces (pruning trees near buildings)
- - maintenance of equipment and minor repairs
They are hired by city and provincial services (public works), contractors, private garbage collection and cleaning companies.
Examples of professions in this group:
- garbage truck driver
- recyclables truck driver
- snow removal equipment operator
- street vacuum cleaner operator
- salt spreader driver
- sewer cleaning machine operator
- watering machine driver
- road sand spreader operator
Their responsibilities include operating equipment for garbage removal and recycling collection, cleaning roads, sidewalks and parking lots from snow, maintaining and cleaning sewer systems,
spreading sand and salt on roads in winter
It is important to keep in mind that they CANNOT be confused with truck drivers (73300) - this group focuses on servicing public infrastructure
NOC 75200: Taxi drivers, that is, UBER drivers.
Their responsibilities include transporting passengers along established routes.
Completely unskilled labor with no prospects for permanent residence.
NOC 75201: Door-to-door delivery drivers and distributors
This includes drivers delivering food, newspapers, clothing, medicine, as well as distributors of leaflets and advertising materials: from pizza to soft drinks.
And again, there is no prospects for permanent residence.
