Steps to obtain PR through Express Entry

To successfully apply for permanent residency (PR) in Canada through Express Entry, Ukrainians in the U.S. must complete the following steps:

1. Confirm English language proficiency
Take the IELTS General Training or CELPIP General test to demonstrate CLB 10 proficiency. Test results are valid for two years.
2. Evaluate your diploma (ECA)
Obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) through WES, ICAS, or another designated organization to confirm equivalency with Canadian education standards.
3. Create an Express Entry profile
Provide details about education, work experience, and language proficiency. The system will calculate CRS points, and the candidate will enter the Express Entry pool.
4. Receive an invitation and submit documents
If the CRS score is above the cut-off, the candidate will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Within 60 days, they must submit a complete application package, including a police clearance certificate and medical exam.

Once approved, the candidate receives permanent resident status in Canada.
