In 2021, the Quebec government launched three pilot programs to attract workers to some of the industries of high importance.
Here are these programs:
1. Food Processing Workers Program (PP TA)
2. Caregivers Program (PP PAB)
3. Artificial Intelligence, IT, and Visual Effects Workers Program (PP IA/TI-EV)
The applications’ submission for these programs will open on January 13, 2025, and close on December 31, 2025.
Number of Applications Accepted:
• PP TA (Food Processing): Up to 600 applications.
• PP PAB (Caregivers): Up to 600 applications.
• PP IA/TI-EV (AI, IT, Visual Effects): Up to 600 applications, evenly split between Artificial Intelligence (IA) and IT/Visual Effects (TI-EV).
Each stream reserves up to 150 spots for candidates who commit to learn French.
Programs closure:
All three pilot programs will end on December 31, 2025, and will close permanently on January 1, 2026.
