Only 511 invitations were issued in this new round.
This is an extremely low number of invitations over the past month, which is a direct result of the reduced quotas for provincial nominations. We are now seeing the consequences of that decision, as the number of invitations has significantly decreased compared to previous periods.
What to do after receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA)?
After receiving an ITA, you have 60 days to submit your application for permanent residence.
Quick checklist:
1. Gather your documents: proof of education, work experience, language test results, and police certificates.
2. Pay the fees: the application fee for PR is 1,525 CAD per adult (as of 2025).
3. Submit your application: upload your documents through the IRCC online portal.
4. Wait for processing: most applications are processed within 6 months, but delays are common.
