DRIVERS IN CANADA and PERMANENT RESIDENCE: IT’S NOT SO SIMPLE as it might seem!

A driver is not just one profession. Drivers belong to 7 NOC groups. And there are more than 80 specialties.

In the CIS countries, everything is simple: a driver is a driver even in Africa. But in Canada, it doesn’t work that way.

Here, the concept of a “driver” is divided into 7 different NOC groups, 4 of which are related to skilled labor, and 3 to unskilled labor.

From truck drivers to street sprinkler operators, from bus drivers to food delivery people every group has different requirements, application processing times, and even prospects for permanent residence.

What does it mean in practice?

This means that “just a driver” no longer works. You need to clearly understand what position you work in, what your responsibilities are, and what NOC code it actually falls under.

And now - surprise:

Your NOC is determined by 50% of your actual responsibilities, and they, as we know, often change with the seasons. In the summer it’s one thing, in the winter – might be another. Today you deliver concrete, tomorrow you sweep the streets. And voila: your NOC is already different.

In such situations, you do not need just a translator, but a specialist who will pull the meaning out of the chaos and build a clear path to immigration. Even if you have a "floating NOC" and everything looks like a chaotic puzzle - this can be solved. The main thing is a professional approach to a matter.

And it is crucial to deal with a specialist who knows how to deal with complex cases and who is not afraid of non-standard situations. Because what seems "hopeless" may turn out to be quite solvable (if you know how to take care of it).

And most importantly! Without knowledge of a foreign language, you will not be able to get a good job or get a permanent residence. Language is not "optional", it’s a must.

And once again: driver is not just one profession. It consists of dozens of professions. Especially in Canada. Let's take them all apart!

I will describe these 7 professions every day.
