Today, the Quebec government unexpectedly suspended the PEQ (Programme de l’expérience Québecoise) immigration program for graduates and now workers as well.

Yes, this is a bummer for many people who were counting on applying specifically for work experience in Quebec. Now the PEQ is completely closed until November 30th but who knows if the program ever reopens?

BUT THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE!
The application for ARRIMA will open. In July! This is the Quebec equivalent of the Express Entry.
What you need to know:
- The higher your French level, the higher your chances
- A written test in French is a must
- It is better not to wait until November but prepare to apply in July!

If you were planning to apply for PEQ, there is only one piece of advice:
Take written French test and create a profile in ARRIMA.
